President Biden's Remarks On Vaccines Have Been Evaluated By Covid.

Key Sentence:

  • President Joe Biden called for Americans to be vaccinated.

In a televised address, he said those who were not vaccinated were responsible for the increase in hospital admissions and made several claims about the spread of the vaccine in the United States.

We checked it.

"Before I took office, we didn't order enough vaccines for every American. Just a few weeks in the office. It's true that the Trump administration didn't call enough doses to vaccinate every American — but delivered hundreds of millions of punches that the Biden administration later used.

Trump has provided 500 million doses of Pfizer vaccines - BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna - three bags approved for use in the United States. This is not enough to vaccinate the entire US population of more than 320 million people, as Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines require two doses.

Likely his first month in office, Biden has ordered an additional 200 million cans from Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech.

That arrangement, combined with the Trump administration's purchases, provided a sufficient dose to vaccinate Americans fully. By the time Trump stepped down in January, the United States had vaccinated more than 16 million people - the fourth-highest per capita benefit after Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

According to John Hopkins, the total number of inpatient beds occupied by Covid has passed the 100,000 marks for the first time since January.A similar picture emerges in intensive care units. If Covid patients in early July occupied fewer than 5,000 beds, this rises to more than 25,000.

Some states in the United States face a much worse situation than others.

In Idaho, Florida, Alabama, and Georgia, ICU capacity exceeds 90 percent. "I'm announcing a new plan that will get more Americans vaccinated." Many have seen this as a step towards introducing vaccination requirements, although Biden is careful with his words.

The president has previously stated that he rejects mandatory vaccination. The new measures include the vaccination of millions of federal employees. In July, Biden allowed workers to be tested twice a week but has now removed that option.
